BSO: Un grapat de cançons que sempre em faran falta XXXV: "What a beautiful name" de la Brooke Ligertwood

What a beautiful name és una cançó de la cantant de Nova Zelanda, Brooke Ligertwood. El tema forma part del disc Let There Be Light (Capitol CMG Label Group/Sparrow Records, 2016) del grup Hillsong Worship. Un duet està format amb el seu marit, Scott Ligertwood i una banda de sis músics que els acompanya en els directes i en els enregistraments.
La composició que us presento avui està dedicada a Jesús. Actualment, la Brooke Ligertwood és la cantant de música religiosa contemporània més ben valorada per les esglésies cristianes australianes. D'altra banda, Ligertwood, també és coneguda per realitzar conferències de l'Església Hillsong.
Respecte a les Esglésies Hillsong convé saber que són un conjunt d'esglésies cristianes, de tall pentecostal, pertanyents a les Assemblees de Déu i formen part de les Esglésies Cristianes Australianes. En l'àmbit internacional és coneguda per ser un segell discogràfic de la nova música cristiana contemporània. En aquest punt és on entra la figura de la cantant Brooke Ligertwood i les seves cançons que són l'ànima del grup Hillsong Worship. Val la pena destacar que les cançons han estat traduïdes a diversos idiomes i són reinterpretades en moltes Esglésies evangèliques del món.
Finalment, voldria destacar que la cançó What a beautiful name va guanyar el Premi Grammy en la categoria de «Millor cançó/presentació de música cristiana contemporània» en la darrera edició dels premis.
